Pages supports the development of students’ writing skills through the exploration of contemporary art, film, and performing arts. Throughout this yearlong, multi-visit program, students are guided to discuss, express, and document in writing what they learn while working with professional writers, artists, and educators in specially crafted experiences at the Wexner Center and at their respective schools. The curriculum fully engages both state and national education standards, and schools from throughout the state are eligible to apply to participate. This program also provides ongoing collaborative teacher professional development. Local writers, artists, and educators working with the Wexner Center collaborate with high school teachers in developing writing-based learning opportunities. Each student keeps a journal for the duration of the program, crafts a piece of writing for each of the three experiences, and has an opportunity to publish their writing.
You can apply to PAGES at any time during the year. Deadline to apply is April 15, 2015 for the 2015-16 school year. Click on link to apply.
