PAGES Exhibition, Open Mic, and Reception, Wednesday, May 7, 6-8pm

The PAGES exhibition, a yearlong culmination of a variety of student works in response to a diverse spectrum of contemporary arts at the Wexner Center, will be open to the public from Monday, April 28, 2014 until Friday, May, 23, 2014. Featuring work by students from the Arts and College Preparatory Academy, Columbus Alternative High School, Delaware Area Career Center, Delaware Hayes High School, Mosaic, Pickerington High School Central, and Whetstone High School, the exhibition can be found on the first floor of the Main Library on 96 S. Grant Avenue.

An open mic reading, hosted by local poet and author, William Evans, and reception commemorating the participation and achievement of each PAGES student will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6-8p.m. Columbus area high school students will share their enriching experience through prose, poetry, and art, celebrating their yearlong educational journey in the PAGES program.

Curated by Stephanie Rond, the exhibition is a true recognition of the immense impact of arts on literacy and writing.  PAGES is presented with major support from American Electric Power and the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. Additional support is provided by Ohio Arts Council, the Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, and Puffin Foundation West, Ltd.
