The Poetry Foundation is hosting a national competition in which Ruth Lilly and Dorthy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships will be awarded to each of the five winning contestants. In its commitment and advocacy toward the significance of poetry in our historic and current society, the Ruth Lilly and Dorthy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships will include a $25,800 prize to the five best entries submitted by April 30, 2014. As applicants are required to be between 21 and 30 years of age and must be U.S. citizens, this proves a noteworthy opportunity for youth poets nationwide to not only win substantial monetary support, but optimal recognition for their unique ownership of language.
